Lamar Odom, the 6 ft 10 power forward for the NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers, was heard baby talking to Pau Gasol the other day at a charity event.
Although it cannot be confirmed what was said, an onlooker claims he heard Odom say, “I weally wub the fact that were buh chambions.”
Since Lamar just began talking like an infant last September, fans have been quick to put the blame on his new bride, Khloe Kardashian. The couple married on September 27th, 2009, and since the blessed union took place, Lamar and Khloe have been seen on the hit reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians talking to each other like the cast of Baby Geniuses.
“Are you bunna miss me when you bow on da woad?” asked Khloe in a Season 4 episode.
“I’m bunna miss you soooooooooo buch,” he replied, to shock and sadness of his male fan base.
But apparently his fans aren’t the only ones worried. The recent increase in Lamar’s baby talking is becoming a concern to the Lakers organization.
“When the couple is together, they talk like a pair of infant Care Bears,” complained coach Phil Jackson. “Sometimes he struggles to switch it off. During the last practice we had before the finals, he referred to the “Pick and Roll” play as the “Wick and Woll” play. I didn’t want to stress out the team before our big series, but I was worried.”
Although they are hoping to avoid this scenario, if the baby talk continues, management is considering sending the All Star to the Boston Celtics.
“There’s nothing else we can do. Boston’s the only NBA team that’s willing to deal with adult babies. That’s why they acquired Rasheed Wallace.”
