Tiger Seared @ St. Andrews by UK Media? Really?

Apparently, the British Media was waiting adamantly (probably drooling) to get their chance to grill Tiger Woods since his Thanksgiving Night Debacle and what followed.  They were however, unsuccessful in their attempts to get Tiger to comment on his impending and seemingly inevitable divorce with his wife of six years.

A member of the UK media followed suit by saying that Tom Watson has gone on record for alluding that Tiger needs to “clean up his act” on the golf course; mainly speaking of his spitting, profanity, and throwing clubs.  The media member asked “Are you willing to cut out all those tantrums this week and respect the home of golf?”

Does anyone else find this to be hypocritical considering St. Andrews was the last place (yes there are a few instances) where Tiger specifically,  was approached and kissed by streaker, Jacqui Salmond, and Tiger still won that tournament?  When was the last time a Scottish player won?  1920 by George Duncan.  British Champion?  Nick Faldo in 1992.

Granted streaking is not just a British occurrence, but I would say the British Open is the best place to SEE a streaker if that happens to be what you are looking to watch on television…those people are drunker than the 16th hole @ the TPC of Scottsdale, Fuzzy Zoeller’s racism (remember the Fried Chicken Master’s Champions dinner comment?) and John Daly (90’s John Daly) combined.  Even Johnny boy wouldn’t disgrace the game of golf like that, so thank you UK Media for your ancient values and hypocrisy.  Maybe tomorrow you would like to add tax to Tiger’s morning tea and crumpets ya redcoats!
