John Smoltz Not Done With Baseball… Completely

John Smoltz has been a part of the MLB for as long as I can remember, and that is not about to change just yet. However, what is about to change is his role with the league.

Smoltz has been one of the best pitchers in the Majors over the last 2 decades, but he is going in a different direction right now. Like a totally different direction.

As of yesterday, John Smoltz signed with TBS to start working on television.

I haven’t officially heard what he will be doing with TBS, but I have a hunch that it will have something to do with baseball.

The one question I have is, “What is going on between John Smoltz and Ted Turner?”

Obviously, Smoltz played for the Atlanta Braves for the majority of his career, and they were owned by Ted Turner.

And now, in his post playing career, he will be working for TBS, which was founded by Ted Turner.

Is it just me, or is there something brewing here?
