The Mavs Are Streaking!

Obviously, no winning streak is comparable to the UConn Women’s current 71- game streak, but the Dallas Mavericks have a winning streak of their own which is worth noting. As of right now, the Mavs have won 12 straight games, and if things go accordingly, they should get that streak up to 15 with relative ease.

In their next 3 games, the Mavs have the luxury of playing the Nets, Knicks, and Bulls (likely without Noah) all at home. Even after that, the schedule doesn’t look all that daunting for the Mavs the rest of the way.

Basically what I am trying to say is that the Dallas Mavericks could be that team that everybody has been searching for all season long. You know, the team that can possibly challenge the Lakers for the number one seed in the Western Conference?

With the Los Angeles Lakers on a current 3-game skid and posting a pedestrian 5-5 record over their last 10 games, the Lakers are the most vulnerable they have been this season. Conveniently enough, there is a team (The Mavericks) that is taking advantage of that, and they are a real cause for concern when it comes to the Lakers locking up that number one seed.

At least it appears that way right now.

Oh, but who knows? Maybe this is just another ploy set up by the zen master to make the Mavs believe that they have a chance, when, in reality, they don’t stand a chance at all. I mean, it does seem odd that Kobe has not come through in the clutch lately. Do you really think this guy is running out of steam?

I doubt it.
