This Monday and Tuesday we will be having an exclusive interview with WWE NXT star David Otunga. But since today is the Academy Awards, we thought to give you a taste of the interview that involved his picks for the Oscars.
His fiance Jennifer Hudson, being a Academy Award winner now has the honor of receiving a ballot every year to select the current year’s winners.
So during our conversation, David mentioned he watched all the nominated films with his fiance and here are some of his predictions for tonight’s telecast.
Best Picture: Avatar
The Hurt Locker was great and a close second, but he mentioned he really enjoyed Avatar and that would be his selection.
Best Actor: Jeff Bridges
This appears to be a lock on everyone’s ballot. David believes he deserves it and will probably take home the Oscar tonight.
Best Actress: Sandra Bullock
This clearly was the hardest selection for David Otunga. It was a complete back and forth between Sandra Bullock and Gabourey Sidibe but when a selection needed to be made, Sandra Bullock got the vote.
Best Supporting Actress: Mo’Nique
This is also a pretty much of a lock, so David was very smart and accurate to predict Mo’Nique will win tonight.
One other thing, do to scheduling, David Otunga and Jennifer Hudson will not be going to the Oscars. He personally has never been but hopes to go next year with the extra bonus of his fiance being nominated. Only time will tell.
Stay tuned for the upcoming interview this Monday and Tuesday, where David Otunga talks about his future plans in the WWE, WrestleMania and what he has to say about WWE NXT star Daniel Bryan and all things in between.
UPDATE: Looks like plenty of his picks were spot on besides Best Picture, but its pretty good results regardless.

We all know that Otunga is a very smart man. He was right on the money with his picks. They were also my picks exactly, but I choose many more winnings. The Oscar was as big as it always are for 2010. However, I must admit I don’t know of one that was bigger than 2007. Jennifer Hudson stole the show in dreamgirls, and on that night she stole the Oscar.
