Two wrestling stories appeared on TMZ’s website in the last two days that have major and minor gaffes to them. Leave it to us at Jockism to expose the stupidity of Harvey Levin again. Its beginning to be a broken record, chances are we’ll be on this road next week as well.
First the minor gaffe, in a story about Bubba The Love Sponge, a radio DJ on Sirius Radio and best friends with Hulk Hogan made disparaging comments about Haiti on his Twitter account.
It ended up pissing off a Haitian woman wrestler named Awesome Kong. Which in turn got Bubba to get his ass kicked by Awesome Kong. Which is true.
But TMZ reported he made the disparaging comments on his radio show, which he didn’t.
Plus they tried to tell a story that someone, who could have been Bubba the Love Sponge (but wasn’t) had called Awesome Kong on the phone and yelled racially motivated slurs at her. Wrong again.
Then finally, the WWE, which every year releases a few of their talents as a cost cutting measure before or after WrestleMania has done it again. One of the men who was released was Gregory Helms, who recently was arrested for a minor infraction.
So TMZ stated the reason he was fired was because of the arrest, which is completely untrue. Weeks ago they joked about the incident on their own WWE programming, and pretty much forgave everyone involved and treated it like it was, an overblown story.
But anytime Harvey Levin can manipulate something and ruin someone in the process, he will. But its only fair that people also have the opportunity to hear the truth as well. Which Jockism will always have your back on.
